KWA Magazine Compatibility Chart: Which Magazine Fits Your Gun

Quick answer: standard KWA M4-style rifles take the MS120, K120 and K400. Cut-off rifles (VM4A1, SR10, CM4 C4-10, M4A1 E.T.R., Ronin X-15 and X-18) need a K120c or MS120c for the empty-magazine cut-off. TK.45, QRF and KO PCCs use their own magazines. Gas guns use the magazine made for that model, and green gas and CO2 magazines are not interchangeable.

Electric rifles, M4 style (standard)
These KWA electric rifles take standard M4-style AEG magazines.
Electric rifles with the empty-magazine cut-off
These rifles stop firing when the magazine runs dry, but only with a cut-off magazine (K120c or MS120c). They also accept most standard AEG magazines, without the cut-off.
Electric PCCs: TK.45, QRF and KO
Pistol-caliber-style KWA AEGs use their own magazines. They do not take M4 magazines.

Cut-off magazines, explained
Some KWA rifles have an empty-magazine cut-off: when the magazine runs dry, the rifle stops firing, so you know to change magazines. The cut-off only works with a cut-off magazine.
For KWA M4-style cut-off rifles. A switch on the base sets 30 or 120 rounds. They do not fit standard AEGs, including the KM4.
For the AKR AK-74M. Both work with its cut-off. The AKR 120 and 400 magazines feed the rifle but skip the cut-off.
The MS120, K120 and K400 fit KWA M4-style rifles, including cut-off models, but the rifle will not stop on empty.
Gas magazines: green gas or CO2
Most KWA gas guns run on green gas, filled into the magazine. The ATP-GT and ATP-Z also have CO2 magazines, sold separately. A green gas magazine and a CO2 magazine are different parts, so buy the one that matches how you want to run your pistol. A BB loader adapter for GBB magazines makes loading faster.
Magazine compatibility FAQ
Do cut-off magazines fit a standard AEG like the KM4?
No. The K120c and MS120c cut-off magazines only work in KWA cut-off rifles. They do not fit standard AEGs, including the KM4 and other AEG2 rifles.
Can I use standard magazines in my cut-off rifle?
Yes. The RM4 and VM4 series accept most standard AEG magazines, such as the MS120 and K400. The rifle will fire normally, but the empty-magazine cut-off only works with a K120c or MS120c.
Do KWA MS120 magazines fit other brands of AEG?
The standard MS120 is cross-compatible with almost all M4-style AEGs and fits every KWA M4-style AEG, from the KM4 to the VM4 and RM4 lines.
Which magazines fit the QRF Mod 2?
The QRF Mod 2 120-round magazine, plus the TK.45 series 120-round and 80-round magazines.
Does the TAC-9 magazine fit the KMP9?
Yes. The TAC-9 48-round magazine fits the TAC-9, the KMP9 and the KMP9R.
Is there a CO2 magazine for the ATP pistols?
Yes, for two models: the ATP-GT 22-round CO2 magazine and the ATP-Z 30-round CO2 magazine. Each fits its own training pistol.
Does the AKR 400-round hi-cap work with the AK-74M cut-off?
No. The 400-round and 120-round AKR magazines feed the rifle but do not trigger the cut-off. Only the AK120c and the 30/60 magazines work with it.
Can I switch a K120c or MS120c between 30 and 120 rounds?
Yes. A switch on the base sets the magazine to a 30-round training count or to 120 rounds.
