What is the ATP-GT?
The ATP-GT is part of KWA’s Adaptive Training Pistol (ATP) line, with an updated look inspired by the ATP-LE. It is built for training professionals and airsoft players who want strong recoil, a crisp drop-in trigger and controls that work for either hand.
Its NS3 system gives the ATP-GT a stronger recoil impulse than earlier ATP models, and the removable trigger group unit (TGU) lets the same pistol move into the ATP-GT Carbine Kit. It is designed to fit a wide range of holsters, so it slots into an existing training setup.

How the ATP-GT works
The NS3 gas system
NS3 is KWA’s gas system for the current ATP pistols. It is built to perform with CO2 while staying compatible with green gas, uses gas more efficiently and gives a stronger recoil impulse than earlier ATP models.
The fire-control parts sit in one removable trigger group unit (TGU). That is what lets the ATP-GT move into the carbine kit.
Green gas or CO2?
Green gas fills the included 22-round magazine from a can. It is the simple, everyday choice.
CO2 runs in the separate ATP-GT 22-round CO2 magazine for a stronger kick. Never put CO2 into a green gas magazine.
Filling a green gas magazine
Green gas is stored in the magazine, and each shot uses some of it to fire the BB and cycle the slide.
- Hold the magazine upside down and the green gas can upside down and vertical.
- Press the can straight down onto the magazine fill valve until it stops taking gas.
- Load BBs, insert the magazine and you are ready.
- Gas cools as you shoot. Let magazines warm up between strings and keep them out of direct sunlight.
Hop-up, explained
Hop-up puts backspin on the BB so it lifts and flies flatter and farther. Too little and BBs drop early. Too much and they climb.
- Start with the hop-up at its lowest setting.
- Fire a few shots at a target at your usual distance.
- Add a little hop at a time until BBs fly flat before they drop.
- Back it off if BBs start to rise. Re-check whenever you change BB weight.
ATP-GT vs ATP-Z
Both use NS3, the TGU and a tool-less hop-up, and both take a carbine kit. Here is how they differ.
| ATP-GT | ATP-Z | |
|---|---|---|
| Magazine | 22 rounds | 30 rounds |
| CO2 magazine | ATP-GT 22-round CO2 | ATP-Z 30-round CO2 |
| Velocity | 335–340 FPS | 335–340 FPS |
| Weight | 1.6 lb | 1.8 lb |
| Height | 5.5 in | 6.62 in |
| Outer / inner barrel | 4.72 / 3.64 in | 4.68 / 3.85 in |
| Muzzle thread | M11+ | 11mm positive |
| Colors | Black, FDE, OD Green | Black |
| Carbine kit | ATP-GT Carbine Kit | ATP-Z Carbine Kit |
ATP-GT care and parts
- Put a drop of silicone oil on the magazine seals now and then to keep them sealing well.
- Store gas magazines in a cool, dry place and never in direct sunlight or a hot car.
- Check feed lips and seals before each game, and do not drop magazines on hard surfaces.
- Wipe the gun down after each game and keep the inner barrel and hop-up bucking clean.
- Use silicone oil only. Avoid petroleum lubricants on seals and rubber parts.
