What is the Radian Model 1?
The Radian Model 1 is a PTS-licensed gas rifle built on KWA’s GBB rifle system. Its M-LOK compatible rail blends into the billet-style upper receiver, which makes the whole upper assembly very rigid, and the Radian Raptor ambidextrous charging handle sits in the upper.
The billet-style lower has an integral enlarged trigger guard, a flared magwell, the ambidextrous Talon safety selector and Radian’s A-DAC (Ambidextrous Dual Action Control), which lets right-handed shooters lock the bolt back without taking their hand off the fire control. It comes with PTS Enhanced Polymer furniture: grip, flip-up sights, magazine and Stock Compact.

How the Radian Model 1 works
Gas blowback rifles reward a little know-how. Here is what to expect.
Gas blowback, explained
Green gas is stored in the magazine. Each trigger pull releases gas that fires the BB and drives the bolt back, which gives you bolt movement and recoil you can feel.
Because the gas lives in the magazine, healthy magazines mean a healthy rifle. Keep their seals oiled and fill them correctly.
Using the A-DAC
A-DAC (Ambidextrous Dual Action Control) lets right-handed shooters work the bolt without taking their hand off the fire control.
- Pull the Raptor charging handle to the rear.
- Press the right-side magazine release button.
- Let go of the charging handle. The bolt stays locked back.
- To send the bolt forward, press the paddle above the right-side magazine release with your trigger finger.
- Left-handed shooters get the same ambidextrous magazine release plus an enlarged bolt release/lock paddle.
Filling a gas magazine
Each shot uses some of the gas in the magazine to fire the BB and cycle the bolt.
- Hold the magazine upside down and the green gas can upside down and vertical.
- Press the can straight down onto the magazine fill valve until it stops taking gas.
- Load BBs, insert the magazine and you are ready.
- Gas cools as you shoot. Let magazines warm up between strings and keep them out of direct sunlight.
Hop-up, explained
Hop-up puts backspin on the BB so it lifts and flies flatter and farther. Too little and BBs drop early. Too much and they climb.
- Start with the hop-up at its lowest setting.
- Fire a few shots at a target at your usual distance.
- Add a little hop at a time until BBs fly flat before they drop.
- Back it off if BBs start to rise. Re-check whenever you change BB weight.

Radian Model 1 care and parts
- Put a drop of silicone oil on the magazine seals now and then to keep them sealing well.
- Store gas magazines in a cool, dry place and never in direct sunlight or a hot car.
- Check feed lips and seals before each game, and do not drop magazines on hard surfaces.
- Wipe the gun down after each game and keep the inner barrel and hop-up bucking clean.
- Use silicone oil only. Avoid petroleum lubricants on seals and rubber parts.
