The QRF MOD.1 Special Edition story
December 14, 2019 was launch night for KWA’s QRF Series. The QRF MOD.1 and MOD.2 went live at 6:30 PM PST, and with them came something rarer: the MOD.1 Special Edition. Only 50 were released, one rifle per order, first come, first served.
It was designed by Eric “SAPO” Chiang, the mind behind SpeedQB, and every detail was drawn to bring a new flavor to airsoft: a rifle meant to turn heads and to dominate on the field.
It came with upgrades most players add later, already installed: a GATE TITAN MOSFET and a Tunable Blade Trigger by Speed Airsoft. Underneath sat the QRF MOD.1, the hybrid of an SMG and a pistol-caliber carbine, with KWA’s AEG 2.5 gearbox and Variable Performance System for adjustable FPS.

QRF MOD.1 Special Edition care and parts
- Disconnect the battery whenever you are not using the rifle.
- Charge with a charger made for your battery type (NiMH or Li-Po/Li-Fe).
- Keep the inner barrel and hop-up bucking clean if accuracy drops.
- Wipe the rifle down after each game and check screws and the rail before you play.
