Getting started
Starter Bundle or First Mission Bundle?
Both kinds of KWA bundle are built around one rifle and add a 3-pack of magazines and a KWA 11.1V 20C 1400mAh LiPo battery made to fit the stock.
A Starter Bundle is the rifle, the magazines and the battery. A First Mission Bundle adds a KWA 140-round BB loader for AEG magazines and a bag of KWA 0.20 g bio BBs, so you can fill magazines and play on day one.
This is a Starter Bundle, so plan on BBs. A BB loader makes filling magazines faster. Neither kind includes a charger or eye protection.
Your first game day
A quick checklist for a new player, or for the parent helping them get ready.
- Charge the LiPo battery with a LiPo charger before game day.
- Fill a magazine with BBs. A BB loader makes this faster.
- Put on full-seal eye protection before anyone loads a magazine, and keep it on the whole time on the field.
- Have the rifle checked at the field’s chrono. If needed, set the FPS with the VPS tool to the field’s limit.
- Fire a few shots at a target and set the hop-up so BBs fly flat (see “Hop-up, explained” below).
Adjusting FPS with VPS
The Variable Performance System changes power at the gearbox. On the KO:EVE-4 you adjust it with the included VPS tool, within 330–380 FPS.
Fields set velocity limits, often lower indoors than outdoors. Set the rifle for the field you are playing and confirm it at chrono.
The battery and charger
The included KWA 11.1V 20C 1400mAh LiPo battery is made to fit the rifle’s stock, with no battery extension needed.
A charger is not included. Charge the battery only with a charger made for LiPo batteries, and disconnect it from the rifle whenever you are not playing.
Hop-up, explained
Hop-up puts backspin on the BB so it lifts and flies flatter and farther. Too little and BBs drop early. Too much and they climb.
- Start with the hop-up at its lowest setting.
- Fire a few shots at a target at your usual distance.
- Add a little hop at a time until BBs fly flat before they drop.
- Back it off if BBs start to rise. Re-check whenever you change BB weight.

Care and parts
- Disconnect the battery whenever you are not using the rifle.
- Charge with a charger made for your battery type (NiMH or Li-Po/Li-Fe).
- Keep the inner barrel and hop-up bucking clean if accuracy drops.
- Wipe the rifle down after each game and check screws and the rail before you play.
