How the Ronin T10 works
The KWA ETU (Electronic Trigger Unit)
The ETU is a programmable trigger unit inside the gearbox. You set it from the trigger itself, with no laptop or app.
Precocking pre-positions the piston so the first shot fires with minimal delay. Burst mode turns the AUTO position into full auto or a 2 to 5 round burst. Trigger sensitivity has high, medium and low settings, and an equalizer adjusts the reset point for quick follow-up shots.
The ETU detects 7.4V or 11.1V batteries, confirms with beeps and cuts power when the battery runs low to protect it. Full steps are in the ETU manual in the KWA Resources tab, and on the KWA ETU page.
The Kinetic Feedback System
KWA’s electronic recoil system replicates the movement of a reciprocating bolt, so you feel a kick with every shot while keeping the reliability of an AEG.
In semi-auto every shot kicks. In full auto it adds a rhythm you can feel at 18+ rounds per second.
Choosing a battery
The battery and charger are not included. This rifle takes NiMH or Li-Po/Li-Fe batteries with a Tamiya connector (2020 version).
Match the connector, check that the battery fits the stock or battery space, and charge it only with a charger made for that battery type. Ask KWA if you are not sure which size fits.
Hop-up, explained
Hop-up puts backspin on the BB so it lifts and flies flatter and farther. Too little and BBs drop early. Too much and they climb.
- Start with the hop-up at its lowest setting.
- Fire a few shots at a target at your usual distance.
- Add a little hop at a time until BBs fly flat before they drop.
- Back it off if BBs start to rise. Re-check whenever you change BB weight.
