What is the ATP-Z Carbine Kit?
The ATP-Z Carbine Kit turns your ATP-Z into a compact carbine. It was designed by competitive players to add the stability of a carbine without giving up the compact, maneuverable feel of the pistol.
Because the ATP-Z keeps its fire-control parts in one removable trigger group unit (TGU), you can swap the pistol lower for the carbine kit and back. The kit is lightweight and built for close-quarters games and training scenarios.

- Pull-out telescopic rear stock
- Integrated QD mount for slings
- Ambidextrous magazine release

ATP-Z Carbine Kit Features

KWA NS3 Trigger Group Unit
The heart of your pistol. The ATP-Z is built around NS3, which gives a stronger recoil impulse, and its drop-in trigger system gives a crisp, responsive break. The carbine kit uses that same TGU.

Integrated QD Mount
Quick sling attachment.A built-in QD mount gives a secure attachment point for slings, so you can move between positions and keep the setup streamlined.

FAST Magazine Storage
A spare magazine in the grip.A compartment built into the grip holds an extra magazine, so a quick reload is always within reach.

Pull-Out Telescopic Rear Stock
Compact or steady.Collapse the telescopic rear stock for a shorter, more compact package, or extend it fully for more control and stability when it matters.
Integrated Flared Magwell
A wider, rounded opening, inspired by the ATP line, for smoother and faster magazine changes.
Ambidextrous Magazine Release
Run reloads with either hand, strong-side or support-side.
Threaded Muzzle (11mm−)
The negative 11mm threaded muzzle takes a tracer unit or mock suppressor.

How the ATP-Z Carbine Kit works
Pistol to carbine with the TGU
The ATP-Z keeps its trigger, hammer and related fire-control parts in one removable module, the trigger group unit (TGU). The carbine kit accepts that module, so the same internals that run your pistol run the carbine.
Follow the step-by-step instructions in the carbine kit manual, in the KWA Resources tab on this page.
Why add a carbine kit?
A stock and a fuller grip add contact points, which makes the gun steadier to aim and easier to control on fast follow-up shots.
It keeps the compact size of the pistol, so it still moves well through tight indoor fields.
Sling setup
Clip a QD sling swivel into the integrated mount. A single-point sling keeps the carbine close for CQB. A two-point sling carries better over a long game day.
Hop-up, explained
Hop-up puts backspin on the BB so it lifts and flies flatter and farther. Too little and BBs drop early. Too much and they climb.
- Start with the hop-up at its lowest setting.
- Fire a few shots at a target at your usual distance.
- Add a little hop at a time until BBs fly flat before they drop.
- Back it off if BBs start to rise. Re-check whenever you change BB weight.
ATP-GT Carbine Kit vs ATP-Z Carbine Kit
Each kit is made for its own pistol. They share the QD mount, flared magwell, ambidextrous release and grip storage.

ATP-Z Carbine Kit care
- Keep the magwell and grip storage free of dirt so magazines seat cleanly.
- Check stock and rail screws before each game.
- Remove gas magazines from the kit for storage and keep them out of direct sunlight.
- Put a drop of silicone oil on the magazine seals now and then to keep them sealing well.
The carbine kit manual is in the KWA Resources tab on this page. Pistol parts are on the ATP-Z parts page.
